Our focus is first & foremost on education & safety, but we never overlook the fact that fun and adventure is yours!
As a PADI 5 Star Dive Resort, Lobster Pot Dive Center offers dive certification through the world’s leading dive training organization, PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors).
Our team of highly-trained, energetic and experienced PADI dive instructors has worked all over the world. Between them they have clocked up thousands of dives and have certified thousands of scuba divers ranging from Discover Scuba Diver all the way up to Assistant Instructor, including multiple Specialties and Emergency First Responder.
Our focus is first and foremost on education and safety, but we never overlook the fact that fun and adventure is yours!
We keep our class sizes small so your dive instructor can move at your pace to ensure you master each dive skill with confidence before moving on to the next. And we provide flexible dive course schedules based on our divers’ needs so you can fit in your dive course around whatever else you have going on in your life.
We conduct our confined water dive training alongside the dive center in a calm, shallow lagoon. And Soto's Reef, just offshore, is the ideal site for your initial open water training dives. Subsequent training dives are made as boat dives or at other shore dive sites.
Whether you want to try an introduction to scuba diving, become fully certified or continue your dive education, who better to trust with your dive training than Lobster Pot Dive Center.
And if living the dream is what floats your boat, talk to us about becoming a Divemaster, the first PADI professional rating and the stepping stone towards Assistant Instructor or Open Water SCUBA Instructor.
Learn dive course theory online
at your own pace in your own time
PADI dive courses consist of knowledge development and in-water training. For many, you can choose how to complete the theory portion.
PADI has developed eLearning for desk or laptop computers, and Touch for mobile devices, so you can do all your dive course theory in a virtual classroom in advance and be ready to jump straight in the water once you arrive at the dive training facility.
Click HERE to see what PADI eLearning courses are available and to buy your eLearning course direct from PADI.
Or if you’d prefer to complete your dive theory the classic way, with a book and a classroom session with your instructor, you can do that instead!

Fitness and diving
Before you start any dive course we have to ensure you’re fit and healthy to dive. If you’re unsure about your fitness to dive, click here to review a medical questionnaire. If you answer “yes” to any of the questions, you’ll have to seek the written approval of your doctor before you can dive. We can provide you with the necessary paperwork.
Short-Term Dive Accident insurance
Although scuba diving accidents are not common occurrences, there are certain risks inherent with diving activities, such as decompression illness. Some dive accidents require treatment in a hyperbaric chamber which although very effective, can be costly. Other types of accidents such as ear injuries are more common and also incur unexpected expenses during your vacation if you don’t have coverage for diving accidents.
In conjunction with Divers Alert Network, the trusted name in diving accident management for 30+ years, we can offer you a comprehensive short term protection plan, ideal for your Cayman Islands diving getaway.
